The Athletic Association would not be able to offer sports opportunities without the dedicated people who give their time to our programs. We have over 50 Program Volunteers and over 250 Coaches, yet we still need more!

Here is a brief description of the Co-Director of Soccer duties:
This position is a 2 year term as the Co-Director of Soccer, followed by a 2 year term as the Soccer Director
This position receives free sports for all children, and meets the annual work duty requirement.

This position works with the Director of Uniforms & Equipment, and is responsible for all aspects of uniforms and equipment for Ascension sports programs. This position will assist in coordinating uniform pickup and return dates with the Work Duty Scheduler, Program Directors and parish office, as well as promoting these dates to program participants. This position is responsible for keeping an accurate inventory of all uniforms, and compiling a list of fines when applicable and forwarding those to the Registration/Technology. This team is also responsible for getting approval from the board, and ordering additional pieces when needed to ensure needs will be met.
This position receives their respective sport free for all children, and meets the annual work duty requirement.

Here is a brief description of the Director, Coach Compliance duties:
This position is responsible for verifying that all volunteers in any current coaching role have met the requirements outlined by CYC and the Archdiocese of St. Louis. These duties are predominantly administrative, and have flexibility on when they can be completed. The Director will pull reports from Team Sideline and work in conjunction with the rectory, to ensure ALL coaches have completed the Archdiocesan requirements. They will communicate directly with the coaches who are missing any compliance items, and supply them with the links necessary to complete. The busiest season is the fall, with a lighter load for winter sports, and a very limited list in the spring. The Director is asked to attend the Soccer, Volleyball and Basketball in person coach meetings to communicate the requirements.

This position is responsible for recruiting, training, schedule coordination (Ref Center or similar technology), table ref management, game card management and payroll for all basketball referees. This position recruits and trains new referees for the Training League, and ensures retention and recruiting and WC CYC Training for Trophy League Refs. The Assistant Director ensures a table ref is present every day of play, monitors game day activities, confirms that refs are scheduled for each game, collects game cards for payroll (coordinated with the Parish Office) and then forwards to the Basketball Coordinator responsible for recording game scores.
